All the jobs with the equipment and machinery performed by SAFEMAN, S.L. are done taking care of seven working levels that are strictly followed one after another.
Mechanical level

Complete panel to avoid the acces to a hazardous areas
- Enclosures and covering: fixed and adjustable metal protections (stainless steel, aluminium) or methacrylate or high impact glasses, to insole the risk source.
- Fences: surrounding fences, partial or completed, fulfilling the safety distance standard norms and safety holes standard norms to observe the process.
- Moving Accesses: gates and doors (manual and automatically) for common or occasional access. Normally associated to a locking device or a locking-blocking device.
- Distancing Systems: mechanic components that avoid reaching the risk zones with the hands, arms and legs throw holes and gaps.
- Mechanic Locks: lock system associated to one equipment or machine to avoid that different users put in on risks one to each other.
- Supports and brackets: components that are used to fix the electric, pneumatic components. They guarantee the position and the right function of those elements
Control and management systems

Safety cable and fixed safeguard
- Safety control and management systems (PL fulfil): Start-up systems, stop execution, job selection, etc,… fulfilling the necessary PL.
- Safety micro-switches on accesses: locking and blocking/locking systems installed in moving accesses (doors, gates), to guarantee the stop of the risky situation before entering the hazardous area.
- Photoelectric fence: Installation of all kind of last generation photoelectric fences, that distinguishes between parts and persons.
- Sensitive Carpets: sensitive and carpets and edges already integrated into the stop operation, that stop the risk element when they detect pressure on them.
- Electrical locks: electrical lock system associated to one equipment to avoid that different users put in on risks one each other. Usually we installed them together with the mechanical locks.
Operation level

Prevention of an unintentional start-up for a pedal
- Main Switch: switches to cut-off the electrical, pneumatically or hydraulic power, with multiple blocking system.
- Emergency stop: all kind of emergency stops like button, sticks, cord,…
- Double Buttons control: synchronous or asynchronous, used normally in mechanical deformation machines.
- Functioning selection switch: key and operation switches for the different job processes: manual / automatic, continuous/discontinuous.
- Sensitive controls: controls to allow the worker the access to risk areas. Installation of the ‘death man detection’ systems.
Pneumatic/Hydraulic systems

Local safeguards
- Circuits: complete safety circuits, with pneumatic detection systems, or/and with pressing or pressure controls.
- Acumulators: control and calibration of accumulators.
- Security valves: installation of closing, escape and pressure valves to guarantee the over pressure or loss detection due to a hazardous event.
- Maintenance outfits: installation of outfits with filtering and lubrication for the pneumatic systems.
Other protections

Electrical hazards marking
- Electrical Protections: installation of disconnecting and differential switches, and independent circuits for the safety systems. Glass protections (easy to disassemble) to avoid the direct contact with the electricity.
- Soundproofing: installation of soundproofing and noise level evaluations.
- Insulations: installation of thermal insulations according with the specific standard norms, and considering the temperature range and exposure time.
- Safety lines: installation of safety lines for work at heights (productive or maintenance), horizontals as much as verticals.
Residual risks

Emergency stop and risks marking
- Signs: installation of risk warning signs, precaution, obligatory, including the design of specific ones.
- Safety instructions: prepare and provide the necessary safety instructions, with the existing residual risk description and the defined protection measures.
- Training: specific training of the workers and superiors, regarding the safety situation of the equipment or machine.
Documentation level

Moving safeguard linked to axle stop of a driller
- Working instructions: documentation with the safety necessary processes description, for every different working level at the equipment.
- Drawings: electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic drawing providing, already installed into the machine.
- Conformity report: writing up the Conformity report with the description about all the carried out adaptations.
- CE Marking: writing up the whole Construction Technique Document (including the risk assessment and evaluation), according with the main and specific standard norms. Prepare all the documentation for the CE Marking.
